Cover and excerpts from "Jakob and Amelia" a new comic zine drawn during a 24 hours comic session last week, which I reported about back then - I'll print copies soon.
I guess, that will be my last 24 hours comic for now, I'm beginning to work on a longer comic project about working in the city these days - for my upcoming bachelor degree...

Yesterday/Today? -however: we did another 24h comix competition in Berlin: seems like these sessions are a new hobby of mine now.
I doubt though, that it is a very healthy thing to undertake on a regular basis - you get a long lasting sleep deprivation and if drawing comics during the day already has a withdrawing effect on ones mind, soul and further parts of the self - it is even more bewitching at night time.

It's a great thing to do with friends though, who share cartooning ambitions. I think, I would only ever do it together
with others, it will keep you sane,- both times, we did it (once last February in Bristol and now in Berlin) we mananged to cook together, buy enough drinks and go out for life essential walks thru fresh night air during the hours of drawing (these walks are truly important, to prevent the complete deformation of your body into the form of the seat, you've chosen as a working place (mine each time was a comfy sofa or armchair, which however comfortable from 1st sight turned out to be a torment instrument, as soon as you had to spend more than 3 hours scribbleling in its soft claws...)
However, dispite a serious warning regarding health and well being, I must say, I should recommend a 24 h comics session, because it really makes you very creative in finishing a whole comic short story (24 pages) in one day and lets you share an adventure in the bumpy fields of picture-making, that is definately worth the undertaking ( - there are many other cartoonists, who tried it out themselves) and moreover produces exciting comics in the end of the day.

My dear cartooning friends and brave fellows during the latest session have been Till Lukat, Bethan Mure, Leo Koppelkamm. I thank the three of them very much, the importance of friends as in every adventure mustn't be underestimated in such an intensive form of comic session especially. Cheers!
